Evaluation seminar of the Regional schools of youth policy (22. and 23.12.)

The final evaluation of the Regional schools of youth policy was held in Sarajevo on Decembar 22 and 23. Participants of ŠOP from Bihać, Banja Luka, Mostar, Zenica and Zvornik, around 70 of them, from March 2004 on had 40 hours of lectures, over 600 practical activities, a workshop on lobbying, designed mini project of lobbying which were presented and finished off at the summer school on Jahorina. During autumn 20 mini project were implemented (4 in each region) and after that participants also had a two-month practice. They could choose between: volunteering in governmental institutions, NGOs, working in the info team or as peer educators who were making workshops “Active youth” in over 40 high schools.
All 20 projects were presented at the evaluation meeting and you can read about them in the document, and the best ones were also chosen. The report about results of specific parts of the School and about the evaluation of the complete School, with the presentation of a continuation will be published on the web during January 2005.
By the end of the year and in the first week of 2005 final activities of ŠOP will be implemented and those are formal awards of diplomas for all participants, that will be presented by benefactors of particular schools: Mayor of Banja Luka, Prime minister of the Hercegovina-Neretva Canton, Mayor of the municipality of Zenica, Mayor of the municipality of Zvornik and Minister of education, science and culture of the Una-Sana Canton.
This one-year project was supported by the International centre Olof Palme and the Open Society Fond BiH.
During the evaluation seminar the coordinator of the Schools of youth policy Jan Zlatan Kulenović presented coordinators of individual schools (Adela Beriša, Danijel Dragičević, Jelena Savanović, Samir Halilović i Tea Beno) with certificates for trainers of ŠOP on the bases of 60 hours of trainer education and a one-year practice of leading a complex and intensive program.
